Elizabeth MacAllister has problems. A best-selling romance novelist, she has a gigantic case of writers' block, which is not helped by her publisher's insisting she attend a writers' convention at a posh Canadian resort hotel. There she finds her former husband, once a lionized concert pianist, playing cocktail piano in the lobby bar. She also finds she isn't as indifferent to him as she would like to be. Things only become more complicated when a freak, late-season blizzard isolates the hotel. Then someone starts killing the best-selling authors. Will Elizabeth be next?
