About the Author
Mary Daheim is a native Seattleite who still lives in her hometown, but whose roots go back to the real Alpine when her ancestors lived in the small logging community during the first half of the last century. She is a communications graduate form the University of Washington where she was the first female editor of the student newspaper. Before launching her book publishing career in 1983, she worked on newspapers and in public relations.
