Innkeeper Judith McMonigle Flynn is trying to keep her sanity when the painful Paine family arrives at Hillside Manor for a dinner and overnight parish school auction item offered by our harried hostess. Judith already is up to her eyeballs with worry about husband Joe's arrest as a murder suspect in a possible insurance fraud case, her mother, Gertrude, gleefully watched her son-in-law being hauled away by the cops, and a rich couple has left the B&B via an upstairs window without paying their bill. Things get really complicated when a love-struck reporter, irrepressible Cousin Renie and a horse show up on the front porch, though not necessarily in that order.
