Heidi grew up in Alaska, where her family owned a lodge, and she spent many summers selling souvenirs to hundreds of tourists. This unique upbringing fuels her overactive imagination, provides endless stories to share with her children, and taught her how to be a savvy entrepreneur. 

Determined to see the world beyond the Chugach Mountains that rimmed her home, Heidi left Alaska and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Medicine and a Master’s Degree in Athletic Training. After a brief career as a Certified Athletic Trainer, she married her husband, Steve. They currently live in North Carolina with their three boys. She’s grateful she never has to use a snow shovel and she can drive to the beach in less than four hours.

Heidi is a member of the American Christian Fiction Writers Association, Romance Writers of America and My Book Therapy.

She loves reading and writing inspirational romance novels featuring small towns and second chances. Heidi is also a huge fan of coffee, dark chocolate and happily ever after.
