I am founder and Editor-in-Chief of The Common. Short stories, translations, and essays have appeared in The Washington Post, Guernica, n+1, Ploughshares, The Journal, The Literary Review, Ascent, Sonora Review, Harper’s, The Millions, The New Inquiry, and Publishers Weekly, among other places. I have an MFA from the Bennington Writing Seminars, and I teach literature, creative writing, and editing at Amherst College. Forthcoming works in 2019 include a long personal essay from Amazon Original Stories and my debut novel, THE LIMITS OF THE WORLD.
