About the Author
Bonnie MacBird was born and raised in foggy San Francisco which may explain her affinity for Victorian London. After earning a BA in music and a Master's in Film at Stanford, she moved to Los Angeles, where her long Hollywood career includes feature film story editor at Universal, original writer of the movie TRON, three Emmys for documentary work, and numerous live theatre credits as an actor, playwright, and director. She has loved Sherlock Holmes since reading the canon at age ten, and runs a Sherlockian Meetup in the Los Angeles area as well as a playreading group. Passionate about London (a high point was getting her library card at the British Library) Bonnie wrote part of ART IN THE BLOOD in a room there on Baker Street, although admits that the view of Chipotle was not exactly period. Her hobbies are watercolor painting and playing the violin badly. She teaches at UCLA Extension's Writer's Program and is currently hard at work on a sequel to Art in the Blood.
