About the Author
I never expected to become a writer. I wasn't born with a pen in hand. My writing journey began many years ago with a tortured story set in the American Revolution. That manuscript eventually grew to 500 awful pages. So awful in fact, that I threw it away ten years after writing it.
My next story was an only slightly better one set in the Civil War. Alas, the heroine was sadly unlikable. I quit writing 3 times for years at a pop. And yet, though I quit writing, writing did not quit me.
My third story, RACHEL AND THE HIRED GUN (formerly SAGER'S PASSION) won the Long Historical category in the RWA Golden Heart contest in 2007. In February 2008, Kate Duffy at Kensington bought that manuscript and the next in the series. I am hard at work on the third story in my Men of Defiance Series: LEAH AND THE AVENGER.
I’m a member of Romance Writers of America (RWA) and its local chapter, Colorado Romance Writers, where I'm currently serving a term as vice president. If you have questions about RWA, finding a local RWA chapter, or writing a romance, please feel free to email me! I love hearing from readers and other writers!
