Austin Goodrich and John List grew up in Michigan, graduated from the University of Michian and served in the same platoon for 30 months in World War II. Goodrich went under cover as a CIA case officer, while List went under cover to escape the law after he murdered his family in 1971. Goodrich documents the linkage of List’s diagnosed posttraumatic stress and the murder.
