About the Author

Karen White Owens is a lifelong resident of Detroit Michigan. She completed a bachelor's degree in sociology and a masters in library and information science from Wayne State University. In addition to writing, she works as an Adult Reference Librarian for the Mount Clemens Public Library.

Her 2004 release, Circles of Love received a 4-1/2 Gold star review from Romantic Times Book Club. To Mom, With Love and Love Changes Everything received 4-1/2 star reviews and top picks from Romantic Times Book Club. In 2006, She won the Headliner Award for Women in the Media from Wayne State University and was named one of the most admired African American Women in Literature and received a nomination for career achievement from Romantic Times Book Club.

Currently, she works as a part time instructor at Wayne State University's Interdisciplinary Studies Program, teaching writing communications skills to undergraduate students and writes romance novels in the middle of the night. Gary, her husband of twenty years is her biggest fan.
