Beth Kendrick has once again crafted a heart-warming and humorous story of love and relationship; in this case the complex love between humans and dogs, mothers and daughters, friends, and lovers. The romantic relationship was definitely secondary but I didn't mind because the characters were fun, the plot was engaging, and the animals were just too darn cute.

Lara Madigan can help you find your soul mate...that is your four-legged soul mate. She can read people, their personalities and their needs, and knows the perfect dog for them when she sees it. She loves dogs and has since her doggie soul mate entered her life at a time of great need. She works as a dog trainer and rescuer, and her reputation as a doggie matchmaker is growing since she was featured in a TV interview.
