About the Author
A former newspaper journalist, Stephen Booth is the creator of young police detectives Ben Cooper and Diane Fry, who operate England's beautiful and atmospheric Peak District. Stephen's books have won awards on both sides of the Atlantic, and are translated into 15 languages. In the USA, he is twice winner of the Barry Award for Best British Crime Novel of the Year, and in 2003 Detective Constable Cooper was a finalist for the Sherlock Award for best detective created by a British author. Stephen has been described by a UK newspaper as "one of our best story-tellers."
