About the Author

Novelist, playwright, essayist, and screenwriter Randall Silvis is the author of six books of fiction; two more are forthcoming from St. Martin's Press. A Senior Fulbright Fellow and Thurber House writer-in-residence, his many awards include the prestigious Drue Heinz Literature Prize, three National Playwrights Showcase Awards, and two fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts. His work has been translated into eight languages.

Also a prolific short story writer and essayist, Randall Silvis has taught creative writing at numerous universities and conferences throughout the United States. Currently he is a faculty member of the graduate writing program at Seton Hill College and the Individualized Master of Arts program at Antioch University.

In the words of Pulitzer Prize nominee William Allen, "Randall Silvis is this country's most pitch-perfect stylist, and one of a few writers in his generation who will make a difference." He lives in Pennsylvania with his wife and their two sons.
