Alex M. Frankel was born in San Francisco and went to Columbia University. In his twenties he moved to Spain where he stayed for ten years. In Barcelona he wrote most of the short stories that appear in his collection
"Flame at Door and Raisin." On returning to the U.S. he began writing poetry and never stopped. Two of his plays have been produced: "Nights in Squirt City Phukenburg" and "Revocable Trust." He even wrote the script for a short film: "Three Misfits Watch Society Collapse Into the Black Hole of Netflix" available to watch on YouTube.
His poetry collection "Birth Mother Mercy" came out in 2013. He also writes under the name "Alejo Rovira Goldner."
