Born in Mumbai, India, Raghu Karnad studied at Swarthmore College and at Oxford, where he took a first. His journalism has won prizes in India and in Europe, and he has served as the editor of Time Out Delhi. His writing has appeared in the Financial Times and n+1, among other publications. He lives in Bangalore.
