Tovah Klein, PhD, is a child psychologist and the Director of the Barnard Center for Toddler Development in Manhattan and a thought-leader in the area of guiding children through their first attempts to establish their own identities. She has appeared on CNN, CBS, in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Redbook, Parents, and countless other publications as their go-to toddler expert. In addition, she is a developmental advisor for Sesame Street, and she is on the advisory boards for Room to Grow, Rwanda Educational Assistance Project, Per Dev, and NYC Voices of Childhood. She has consulted nationally and internationally to programs for young children and parents. She is the mother of three boys and lives with her family in New York City.
