About the Author

Sara Blædel has worked as a journalist for nine years and has been a chief director for several TV programs on Danish Television. She has written non-fiction debate books and also founded her own publishing house, Sara B, specialising in crime mysteries.

In 2004 her first novel Grønt støv (Green Dust) was published and won the Danish Crime Academy’s Debutant Award. The book was soon followed by Kald mig Prinsesse (Call me Princess), Kun ét liv (Just One Life), Aldrig mere fri (Farewell to Freedom), Hævnens gudinde (Goddes of Revenge) and Dødsenglen (The Angel of Death). Her next book in the series will be published in autumn 2011.

All six books focus on Chief Inspector Louise Rick and her trials and tribulations. The successful series has been sold to several countries throughout the world and her fifth novel, Hævnens gudinde (The Goddess of Revenge), was a number 1 bestseller in Denmark in 2009.

Sara has also been voted the Most Popular Author in Denmark by the general public no less than three times.
