Back home in Canada and enrolled in school to continue her studies in forensic psychology, Mak feels she's been successful in putting "the incident" behind her. Problem is, she isn't sleeping well, and what little sleep she does get is riddled with nightmares. Her father thinks she should "talk to somebody." Mak just wants to forget everything to do with her ordeal.

The last thing Andy Flynn wants to do is forget about Makedde, and he couldn't if he tried. Their relationship may have been complicated, and the timing more than wrong, but she's beautiful, clever, irresistible, and he's fallen for her hard. Andy's been studying serial killers at the FBI academy in Quantico and has come to Vancouver for a conference on psychopaths. When he and his mentor land in Canada, they're asked by police to consult on a case. Several girls have gone missing from the university and their bodies were discovered in a nearby wooded area. Andy tries to warn Mak about the disappearances, but she's determined to avoid him -- and all the memories he inspires.

I've been anxiously awaiting this next installment in Makedde's saga, and I was not disappointed. Dark and eerie, I found it engrossing from first page to last. If you liked Moss' FETISH, you will love SPLIT.
