Jackie's life tumbles as she tries to discover who she is post-divorce and what (and who) she wants in her future. One thing is for certain, she wants to be happy. It seems her happiness lies in Hawaii. Traveling back and forth three times, the last being due to a tragedy, she decides what's best for her, only to find out that her mind is made up for her in the end.
This is a very introspective novel and not at all what I thought it would be; however, I found it interesting to see the thoughts of this woman and watch as she discovers her strengths. Jackie remains true to herself and finds out what it truly means to grow up. I really enjoyed this character and her thoughts about life and love.
