Ryshi, half-jinn and half-imp, has sat in the Anasso's dungeon for years. Though his being half-jinn leads everyone to wonder if he has really been idle in his cell. He is about to be released into the hands of a shunned vampire who has the ability to control a person's mind. 

Sophie wants to be left alone. She doesn't deal with people well but when Styx, the king of all vampires, asks for help she is reluctant but duty-bound.

With Levet missing, his aunt parked in his garden with Hades (yes the devil himself who seems to have a thing for Bertha) by her side the Anasso is in a bind. Styx sends Ryshi back to the Minotaur labyrinth - the very labyrinth he claims to have conquered - to rescue the pint-sized gargoyle. He needs Sophie to go with him to make sure he doesn't just run away. And so the adventure and for Sophie - the unexpected romance begins.

SATE THE DARKNESS has a number of stunning as well as unexpected moments that readers have come to expect in Alexandra Ivy's Guardians of Eternity series. We have Levet who only wants to get back to Inga, Sophie who wants to be left alone, and Ryshi who is trying to find something he lost. All of this added in with the Minotaurs who think Levet will save them - boy do they have the wrong seer, if that's what he sees - and you have this amazing read.
