Kendra Michaels was once blind but after a miraculous operation now has use of her sight, but hasn't lost the other senses she was dependent on for so long. That is what makes her the perfect consultant for the F.B.I. 

Serial killer James Michael Barrett made a deal with the powers that be after he was caught to save himself from death row. He would show them where the bodies were. At the site he pointed, they began to dig, and an explosion takes out Barrett and most of the agents and cops close by. Instead of the end, this is only the beginning.

Knowing how close Kendra is with the agents, Adam Lynch, her on-again/off-again lover, flies home to do whatever he can to help out. Lynch is a man that gets things done, but with Kendra, he is still trying to figure out how to stay in her life without her pulling back. He knows it has to be her decision so he plays a very impatient waiting game while helping her stay one step ahead of the killer and the agents.

MORE THAN MEETS THE EYE is definitely a WOW read! The beginning grabs you and you are going to hold on for a wild ride. Tricia Walton, a survivor of one of Barrett's attacks,  thought she was safe but realizes she could be in the line of fire again when they wonder if Barrett might not have acted alone. Protection is offered to the young athlete and she becomes close to both Kendra and Olivia. Olivia, Kendra's blind best friend, and her dog Harley, play their parts and give readers a few bad moments as the danger comes at her, making it just that more personal for Kendra. 

There is so much in this book, it could take pages to review but suffice it to say reading MORE THAN MEETS THE EYE will not disappoint fans of action, romance, danger, and intrigue. Iris Johansen and her son Roy make a fantastic writing team.
