WHILE THE WOLF'S AWAY is a fun, nerve-racking read. The fun is the friends who were all cops but were turned into shifters and held captive by Kintail and his pack (this story can be found in The Legend of the White Wolf). This new pack includes David, Owen, Cameron, and Gavin. They have found their mates and the children have begun to arrive. They set up in Minnesota - where else would an Arctic wolf blend in but in the cold and snow of this area. They are happily living their lives, dealing with various P.I. cases and hoping that the old pack leader would forget about it. Especially when Elizabeth's best friends sneaks away and joins this new pack. That is the nerve-racking part - waiting to see what will happen, if anything when they are found. And a couple of their cases have you biting your nails too as they work their magic with intuition and computer skills.

WHILE THE WOLF'S AWAY is a well-written, easy read with characters that you will love! The sweet yet steamy romance (when they finally get together), some intrigue, danger, and visits from past werewolves and even a jaguar or two and maybe a bear siting that will have them all ready for a run! Get your hands on it and enjoy!
