Adrian is a strong young woman who has had to deal with life pretty much without her mother being "maternal." She was always there to give business advice or try to thwart her daughter if she felt it necessary but she did not seem to really understand Adrian. With the help of her grandparents, Adrian was more grounded in her study of people and knew how to treat friends and foes.

Raylan was the perfect foil for the bundle of energy that is Adrian. He is settled and stable, a young widower with a child, who is adorable. When the threat and danger come closer and closer to Adrian, he is ready to fight back and protect her. Raylan knows that the grown-up Adrian is exactly what he needs and wants in his life and no one is going to take her away from him.

When you pick up LEGACY, I recommend that you put aside some time to yourself, because you will become lost in this world and won't want to let it go until the end, and maybe not even then...
