Harley Grant is a member of STAT (Special Threat Assessment Team), which is made up of wolf shifters, but she isn't comfortable with her wolf. She won't shift and this just might endanger her whole group if she can't learn to accept who and what she is. Then she meets up with MI6 member Sawyer Bishop, he is also a shifter, only he can't admit to being an alpha, because of the attitude of his teammates. They know shifters exist but think of them as inhuman, so what choice does he have but to keep silent or lose the team he has worked with for years. So he continues to be an UNDERCOVER WOLF, even though he realizes that it is likely to change.

During a terrorist case, MI6 and STAT begin to uncomfortably work together. Sawyer is amazed that Harley's team are really very good investigators and is almost envious of how well they work together. He knows it is inevitable that his truth will come out and that it will end his days at MI6 because he sees that his friends are distrustful and insulting to the STAT members. But losing his job and teammates just might be all right because now he has an interesting she-wolf that could make the change in his life worthwhile.

UNDERCOVER WOLF is Paige Tyler's STAT world at its most intriguing. Harley's past, with the reaction of her family at her change, has her mostly in denial of the truth of who she really has become. It takes an angry moment and a big change of heart for her to embrace her wolf. Sawyer has had to deal with his change very much on his own and is thrilled to learn more about who he is from the STAT members. Too bad his bigoted teammates had to give him such a hard time after learning the truth, but when push came to shove, they did manage to do the right thing.

Paige Tyler has an amazing way of giving her readers the perfect escapes with a lot of action, mystery, intrigue, people just being idiot people, and a romance that will have your heart beating faster. UNDERCOVER WOLF is the epitome of Ms. Tyler's best work and when you hit the end you will wish there were more pages!
