So, Lords of the Masquerade is the first series I have read from Jade Lee and LORD SATYR is the second book of the series set one year after the first book. Jackson is an heir to an impoverished earldom that has caused him to procure funds by learning about investment businesses from a controlling she-witch. To get out from under her thumb he needs to find an independent earning opportunity. Enter Gwen, our truly unique and firmly on-the-shelf female, who has her own reasons for seeking funds. The interaction of Jackson and Gwen as well as the subplots involving Jackson's family made for a quick read.
I prefer reading all the books in a series but this book would not lose anything being read as a stand alone book. But, it is better to see the characters from the other books as they live their lives and the peeks at the characters for the next book. Looking forward to LORD ARES.
