When Green Beret Captain J.T. Wilder accepts a gig as an advisor on a movie, he figures easy money and easy work. Instead, he walks into a disaster where someone is shooting real bullets. Before long, the CIA contacts J.T. and coerces him into helping them on the set. They're awaiting the arrival of a Russian mobster and an international terrorist.
The sparks fly between J.T. and Lucy as they try to uncover the numerous plots of intrigue. People are not what they appear to be and danger is exploding all around. Lucy decides to place her trust in J.T. and hope they can put the missing pieces together.
The pairing of Jennifer Crusie and Bob Mayer in this hilarious and utterly satisfying novel is brilliant. Crusie, with her funny ensemble characters, and Mayer, with his action-packed hero, create a tale that leaps off the pages and grabs readers' attention. A definite winner!
