Best friends since college, Robin, Mackenzie, and Lily knew each other quite well. Or, so they thought.  Each was, perhaps in part, shaped by their secrets. Even though they are bound together for different reasons, their loyalty to each other is strong. And in this captivating story that loyalty is tested.

The three women are well-crafted and defined characters. Lilly is the feistiest. She is independent and fierce, but she has demons she is trying to escape. In addition, she is attracted to the wrong man. Robin's marriage is in trouble for a number of reasons. With four children, she and her husband don't have much time for each other and there are cracks in their relationship. She and her husband have their own secrets from each other. On the surface, Mackenzie's marriage appears solid. A closer look reveals years of abuse and control from her husband. Their daughter is her one joy.

The women, their husbands, and their children came together for a party. After that night, things begin to spin out of control. Relationships and loyalties are threatened and tested. Events and actions of the past come forth and have to be reckoned with. Truths are revealed often with shocking results. Can their friendship survive?

I found LITTLE DEADLY SECRETS by Pamela Crane to be a deeply profound and memorable story.  It is well-written and intricately plotted. Highly recommended.
