I KNOW WHO YOU ARE is two stories in one, alternating between Aimee as a six-year-old girl and Aimee in the present. When she was young, Aimee was kidnapped in Galway in 1987. She initially ran away from home to escape her abusive father. He no longer wants to feed for her and her older brother, Eamonn. She is befriended by an attractive woman named Maggie who promises Aimee she will find a home for her and always take care of her. Aimee goes will Maggie to a new home, where Maggie becomes her mother and a strange man, John, becomes her father. She lives above a betting parlor in a pretty pink bedroom but is never allowed outside. Maggie sets the rules which are strict and must be followed immediately or there is a cruel punishment. Her life was not easy, but Maggie told Aimee she loved her so Aimee decides to wait and make a plan to escape.

In London in 2017, Aimee is a starlet. Married to Ben Bailey, they are experiencing marital difficulties. At a posh restaurant, a video camera records their very public and vicious altercation. After again refusing to father a child with Aimee, she slaps him across the face, tells him she wants a divorce, and flees the eatery alone.

Returning from the studio the next day, she does not find Ben at home. She finds all his possessions such as his keys, wallet, phone, shoes and his coat. His car is in the garage. There is a beauty of a bouquet of flowers and a note simply signed, "Sorry." Ben is gone, along with $10,000 from her bank account. When the police are called to investigate, they think Aimee is hiding secrets. Does she know where Ben is? She is also being stalked, and receiving unsigned postcards with "I Know Who You Are" written on the back. Who is doing this and why?

I KNOW WHO YOU ARE is the second book from author Alice Feeney. If you like a twisted, diabolic, and disturbing psychological chiller, this one is for you. A sad, lonely, and abusive childhood directly influences Aimee's decisions as a grown up. She faces struggles, which the author intertwines with dark twists and turns that will bring goosebumps with a bit of fright as Aimee strives to get to the bottom of this spine-tingling drama. Aimee is a skillful liar so she can keep her true self safely hidden from everyone. When the past meets the present, Aimee faces the person responsible for all the evil happenings... The ending is unexpected in this thriller. Alice Feeney is an awesome storyteller with an outstanding imagination and her brilliant descriptions of twisted characters kept me glued to this book. Bravo!
