THE WAY YOU LOVE ME is the second book in Miranda Liasson's Angel Falls series. Gabby Langdon and Caden Marshall find each other at the moment in their lives when they're both at a crossroads. Both are looking to move on from bad relationships in the past and find something professionally that satisfies them. Caden is looking for a steady professorship to provide stability for his young daughter, and Gabby has a steady job but is looking for a career that speaks to her soul. That Gabby enrolls in the writing class that Caden is teaching seems like fate. I love how this hero and heroine are two good-hearted people who inspire each other.

Because Miranda Liasson tells THE WAY YOU LOVE ME from alternating perspectives, the reader gets a good sense of who the main characters are and what drives them. Caden has been burned in the past -- both personally and professionally by his ex-wife and by his father. These past hurts haunt him, but he is a great father to his daughter despite them. The betrayal by his ex is a mental block to Caden writing fiction again, but Gabby proves to be his muse and helps him get back his joy for writing and life. Gabby has always searched for an occupation that feels like her niche, but never quite found it. Lately, finding her late mother's early writings have inspired her to give writing a try and see if it winds up being more than a passing fancy for her. Caden and Gabby try to do what they feel is the "right" thing, while still giving their burgeoning relationship a chance. Miranda Liasson seamlessly blends enchanting sentiment with breath-catching sexy times. Any angst comes from the direction of Gabby's brother Rafe and his seemingly hopeless attraction to longtime family friend Kaitlyn.

THE WAY YOU LOVE ME is about two people who find their sense of purpose and true love at the same time. I eagerly await Miranda Liasson's next Angel Falls novel. Rafe and Kaitlyn appear to have a rocky road to romance ahead of them, but I'm dying to see how it eventually works out.
