An incredible thriller, that is part of the Kate Waters series that can also be read alone by Fiona Barton, THE SUSPECT is gut gripping of any parent's worst nightmare. Reporter Kate Waters travels to Bangkok to research the story of the year: two young women go on the vacation of a lifetime but end up missing. I love the writing style of this psychological thriller, and while it was the first novel I've read by Fiona Barton, I certainly want to read more. The characters feel real, making it easy to forget you are just reading a story.

When Alex and Rosie travel to Thailand, they expect an adventure they've only dreamed of... however, the trip did not turn out as they hoped, leaving their parents with unanswered questions about what truly happened to their daughters. After the parents do not receive a scheduled phone call, Alex and Rosie are declared missing and no one can give them answers.
