Jax, captain of a Talzor starship, has been sent to acquire the help of a spiritual matchmaker, a shalhinari, to find mates for some of his warriors. He manages to find the best, a human woman on Earth. He has no plans to become a part of the process, but there is something about Mitzi that draws him. He will not allow emotion to be a part of his life, especially with a price on his head that could cause the death of his mate.

PLANET TALZOR NEEDS BRIDES is a quirky, fun and fascinating look into the science fiction world of aliens with an amazing twist to matchmakers. In this book an earth woman setting up other earth women to become the perfect matches to alien warriors. I enjoyed getting to know this world as Mitzi began the task of trying to learn everything she could to be able to come up with perfect matches. Too bad her own perfect match, Jax, wasn't planning to have anything to do with the plans. Watching him struggle, hearing his story and coming to understand his reason and worries, helped to make the readers know him better, sympathize and wonder how in the world there could be a happily ever after for this couple. While he tried to deal with everything happening, his past comes out to haunt him putting Mitzi in danger some times, forcing him to face the fact that he has to deal with things or lose her.

I enjoyed the dialogue in this book and most especially Tal, the AI (artificial intelligence), who helps Mitzi set up for the matchmaking work. While he helps her learn and deal with the Talzor customs and languages, he is also picking up some slang, yada, yada becomes his favorite. There are also some really fun moments when Jax meets her grandmother, goes surfing and beats up a great white shark.

If you want a very good aliens sci-fi story with a mixture of danger, intrigue, humor and a romance that has a good dose of "mutual pleasuring" then get your hands on PLANET TALZOR NEEDS BRIDES.
