Kathy Grant is about to open the Swans Nest Inn and has the help of her friend, Tori Cannon to help clean up the grounds when they find a body. They have no clue who he is but finds out that there are many secrets surrounded by this man. During the same time, Tori is also trying to open her business about the same time, Lotus Lodge. Two different individuals who want to go into partnership with Tori give her contracts to look over with ideas that they would like to put in place for the business. However, Tori is not looking for a partnership and their motives seem sketchy. How will the dead body they found affect the opening of their businesses?

I personally think that this is a great cozy mystery to read with the exciting plot using very strong and powerful female characters. Anissa is my favorite with her take-charge attitude to get a job done when she sees the need. Even Tori and Kathy are characters unlike most stereotypes in other novels, which do not show a strong female presence. A REEL CATCH by Lorraine Bartlett is one cozy mystery I recommend that you read.
