This book is the second of her Lilah Love series (Murder Notes was the first) and begins just where the first book ended. Lilah is unable to believe the solution to the murders, finding it just to pat and easy. Lilah Love does not do easy when it comes to her work. I love watching her work, how her mind puzzles things out while seeing what others might miss is fascinating.

Ms. Jones' characters are real, dangerous and she has a habit of keeping you guessing about who to really trust and who the real bad guy (or guys) might be. Lilah is tough but in MURDER GIRL you can see a more vulnerable side as you get more into her past. Kane is unapologetic about his life and his love for Lilah that has survived the years of separation. You have to love a hero who will (and has done) anything for his girl. We do get to know more of his background as the time he was apart from Lilah was filled in a bit which just adds to the intrigue most of the readers feel toward this man.
