I have genuinely enjoyed this series with all the exciting characters and will miss it. This group has worked directly under the guidance of the President of the United States. This is the group to have in your corner when the world is under imminent threat. Because of their unique relationship with the President of the United States they have the freedom to work outside the lines. Throughout the BKI Series we have observed the deadly, dangerous, determined, and precise skills of these operatives. We have also had the chance to see their personal and vulnerable sides. But once the President of the United States term comes to an end we are left wondering where that leaves Black Knights, Inc.

The final story covers tall, dark, and dangerous Jamin "Angel" Agassi. There has been so much mystery surrounding Angel and his unknown background. When a mission went totally wrong Angel changed his complete identity -- evenly surgically changing his appearance. Now he is doing one final mission in order to bring down the world's worst crime syndicate kingpin. This final mission will bring Angel face to face with his past and the course that changed his life. Sonya Butler is an Interpol agent who finds herself in the middle of a mission that she doesn't see a way out of. But when it becomes obvious there is more to Angel than he has been telling, what will the outcome be?

Julie Ann Walker has shown throughout this BKI series the strength, determination, and various personalities of some unique characters. Even though these operatives have some deadly and dangerous skills, Ms. Walker also shows their humorous sides. BUILT TO LAST rounds out the series by highlighting where each of the Black Knights, Inc. members' life situations stand. There is a "hopeful" allusion that maybe Ms. Walker will give us a spin-off to this series.
