Their whole lives, Joshua and Eden have been best friends. They spend every second they can together and know almost everything there is to know about each other. After spending so much time together, they can read each other's emotions. Always knowing what the other one is thinking. People assume that all this closeness means that they are a couple, but they are not. They are constantly having to tell people that they are just friends. What happens when even their closest of friends think that there is more to the relationship then they are admitting? Are they fooling themselves into thinking that friends are all they will ever be?
What happens when Joshua starts looking for a girlfriend? Well he turns to his best friend, Eden. He needs her help to find him a girlfriend so that he can lose his V-card before college. When they start to search for the right girl things do not go has planned. Eden is reluctant and does not want to help Joshua. She feels like his plan makes her sound like his pimp. So, Joshua must find a way to change her mind.
As the drama of finding the right girl continues, somewhere along the way Joshua realizes that the girl he loves has always been right there with him. This is where the story takes a turn with loads of drama and fun filled exchanges. They soon begin to realize that they are more than friends. Now they must decide if it is worth taking a chance on a relationship even though they could possibly lose their best friend in the process.
Murphy has written a list of characters that are realistic and lifelike. They face real problems that many teenagers face and deal with them in the same way. Joshua and Eden are well developed with backstories that mesh together making them the ideal high school sweethearts. SAVING IT has a fun and outstanding group of secondary characters that help in the overall story making everything come together in this remarkable read.
I found this to be a cute romantic read that is full of drama and laughs with an ending that is picture perfect. You will fall in love with this funny, sweet, and addictive read from page one. SAVING IT does not disappoint.
