New York Detective Sullivan Leary has just solved a big crime with big rewards. Sullivan also has a new job in Mundy's Landing. It seems like a quiet little town, where everyone is related, until strange things start happening.

Way back in 1666, The Mundy family was starving. To help the family out, the parents of Jerimiah Mundy resorted to desperate measures. They were caught and put to death. Jerimiah was left to take care of his two younger sisters.

Aurora Abrams is the town's historian. Aurora has a skull in her house that she needs to have someone examine, certain it has something to do with the town's history.

BONE WHITE is your classic thriller. Wendy Corsi Staub writes a great mystery. I was immediately taken in with this story line. The story does go from present to past, but it's not confusing at all. In today's world, it seems that everyone wants to know their heritage.

I would compare Staub's writing to James Patterson or Mary Higgins Clark. These are three writers that I try to read all the time. I also liked how she describes the small town of Mundy's Landing. Almost the whole town is related, but new people are welcomed with open arms.
