The local media has dubbed these murders the Chill Thrill Kill. As Quinten tries to connect the murders, nothing connects. The victims have been killed in different ways, in different parts of town, and the killings appear to be random. Are they really? He's beginning to think there may be more than one killer on the loose, and that some of these five individuals were killed for a different reason entirely. The deeper he digs into his investigation, the more dirt he uncovers.
New Orleans is once again the backdrop for Don Bruns' second installment of his voodoo series, Quentin Archer Mysteries. It's a bizarre town with lots of sinister people and strange happenings. And so are the supporting characters in THRILL KILL, an assorted lot of quirky and eccentric individuals who bring an interesting flavor to the storyline. Quentin is a very driven homicide detective who is not only trying to solve these New Orleans murders, but is working on his own past issues in Detroit as well. Mr. Bruns uses very descriptive language to make you see, fell, hear and taste the flavor that is New Orleans. THRILL KILL explores gang turf wars, drug cartels and human trafficking as well as energy forces and the supernatural. If thrillers are your genre, this is a great one!
Book Summary
Beneath the carefree atmosphere of Mardi Gras, something very sinister is going on in the intriguing new Quentin Archer mystery.
Three murders so far. No apparent motive; no link between the victims; none of them have been robbed. One item ties them together: a can of spray gas known as Chill has been left at the scene of each crime. Is someone killing for kicks? With no leads to pursue and no witnesses coming forward, all the cops can do is wait for murder number four.
As rumours emerge, Archer realizes there’s a pattern taking shape. Could there be more to these seemingly random killings than meets the eye? Teaming up with voodoo queen Solange Cordray, Archer begins to uncover evidence of a shocking conspiracy.
