As both candidates are arriving at the debate center Erica is there ready to get interviews. Just as the Buchanan's arrive a bomb goes off and the candidate and his wife are killed. What a great book by Lis Wiehl! Even though THE CANDIDATE was written before the election, there is so much that rings true in the election of 2016. Even some of the candidates name were mentioned.

I really like the way that Wiehl keeps you in suspense until the very end. Who are the good guys, who are the bad? Wiehl also shows how some people would do anything to win an election. THE CANDIDATE is a great book and a fast read. But in the end, will the good guy win out?
