Unfortunately for her, she's not really the only one with a say in the matter, as Christian is a prince and her son is heir to his throne. So despite her protestations, her life of solitude she enjoyed for the first five or so years of motherhood is over.

Fortunately for her, the playboy she was taken with has matured, at least a little. He's determined to not only have a relationship with his son, but to win back the only woman who has ever really gotten under his skin. Sure, it all starts with a need to bed her again, but as he gets more honest with himself, he realizes he simply can neither live or rule without her.

SECRET CHILD, ROYAL SCANDAL is a Harlequin Presents, y'all, so we all know what that means. It's charming and fluffy and full of tropes that bring comfort and delight. There are no reinvetions or subversions here, but sometimes you just want structure, order, and a happily ever after. If you're in the mood for that, plus you love either a royal-marrying- a-commoner trope or a secret baby one, this is a great book. I enjoyed it thoroughly!
