What a date it turns out to be. Who could resist this sexy charmer? He arrives with a bouquet of roses and a kiss. One of his private plans whisks them from LA to San Francisco. Drinks at the Top of the Mark, and with wine and a fabulous view. Then on to Fisherman's Wharf, and filet Mignon and more vino. They talk easily, and laugh and joke non-stop. He takes her home and walks her to her door. No strings attached. Glen is very wealthy and CFO of a family owned Worldwide Charter Company. Looks like Mary finds him irresistible and visa versa. Mary lives in CA and Glen in NY. Their East Coast-West Coast relationship begins with gusto! It helps that he has planes and pilots always ready.
NOT QUITE PERFECT serves up a delicious recipe for a romantic tale, adds a twist of suspense and a sprinkling of some HOT sex to add zest. Catherine Bybee does not disappoint in this fifth in the Not Quite series. I thoroughly enjoyed Mary and Glen's lovely escapade. Glen is hands down my newest book boyfriend. He is sweet, funny, thoughtful, a jet-setter and a playboy. Did I mention he was a stud and handsome? He does not have relationships but dates often, but never more than once or twice. He finds Mary different and he woos her with a passion and perhaps a serious goal this time. Can he be tamed? For those of you who love a story filled with romantic locales and filled with exciting suspense, this one is for you. Can you figure out who is stalking Mary? Why is someone trashing her home , business and writing nasty words on her mirror? Ms. Bybee will keep you turning these pages, guessing, hoping and rooting for a happily ever after. I loved it. You will too.
Book Summary
Mary Kildare knows how to read people. It’s both why she makes a great therapist and why she refuses to trust the average bachelor. Staying fiercely independent has been her primary relationship strategy—until wealthy playboy pilot (and commitmentphobe) Glen Fairchild reappears in her life. After a yearlong teasing tug-of-war, Mary and Glen test the waters of attraction, only to find that their physical chemistry runs deeper than flirtation.
At first, a bicoastal romance suits them both—especially since Glen can swoop in and whisk Mary away on one of his company’s planes. But no matter how close they get, they’re still three thousand miles apart. And when Mary’s life is threatened, Glen realizes the one luxury he doesn’t have is time. Can he close the distance between them before it’s too late?
