Emily -- Mrs. Crenshaw now -- well remembers Grey's visits to her family home. Her life didn't turn out at all like she expected, but she refuses to ask for help. She already has a plan to take care of herself. Instead, Nathaniel insists on taking her home to London, even if it puts both their lives at risk.

ALONG CAME A ROGUE is a fast-paced, high-action thrill ride punctuated by hot and sexy games between Grey and Emily. They can't keep their hands off each other, even though they have no future together. Author Anna Harrington creates wall after wall to keep them from finding a happily-ever-after together. She also created a hero and heroine who are willful and determined enough to break any rules to make their own path.

I did find myself wishing that Emily would have confided in Grey sooner, at least about certain things that put both their lives at risk. They also have enough external barriers to their happiness that the internal ones they create for themselves seem unnecessary and rather forced. Beyond that, I enjoyed Grey and Emily's adventurous story.

ALONG CAME A ROGUE will appeal to historical romance readers who enjoy a good mystery and explicitly steamy passion.
