So when the beautiful mysterious girl who he had met in the ballroom applies for the job, although he knows that she is hiding her true name, he still hires her for the job. Can Emma and Roderick control the attraction and the sizzling passion?

This is the first book I read by Amy Sandas and I absolutely loved it. The characters are wonderful; the plot is great with an enjoyable pacing that keep you entertained through the whole story.

I love those historical romances where the hero had a hard time as a child and become a wealthy and successful businessman who owns a gambling club. Roderick is strong, kind and caring about the people who work for him. He knows Emma is out of his reach but still he throws caution to wind to have her.

I loved how Emma works so hard to take care of her sisters and all the problems by herself by sacrificing her future for her sisters. Can Emma throw the caution and face the scandal to be with Roderick too?

LUCK IS NO LADY is a beautifully-written historical romance with witty dialogue and emotionally sweet romance. I can't wait to read more books by Amy Sandas.
