In I DREAM OF DRAGONS Rory Arish has been accused of the theft of a leprechaun's gold. The dragon and his sisters, Shannon and Chloe, find themselves cast from their ancestral home. Once they make it to Boston, Rory believes he has found a safe haven to protect his sisters, even if it means forgoing the chance to shift and fly as a dragon. Unfortunately at the paranormal friendly apartment he finds himself in a bit of a bind, his apartment was rented simultaneously to another.

Amber McNally has finally found a new apartment but the one she finds now comes with an unwanted roommate. Forced together is only a part of Amber's problems, she has become a modern day muse for Mother Nature and it is so true, you don't want to mess with mother nature. There is so much she has to learn for her new "job" but she finds herself sidetracked by the sexy voiced, irritating roomie. Each determined that they will outlast the other.

I DREAM OF DRAGONS is a thoroughly delightful read. There are so many elements involved in this book it is hard to know where to start. You have a dragon who is so out of his element but learning to live in Boston. You can certainly hear the Irish in all his words, a very nice sound. Amber is funny and a bit quirky as she becomes indoctrinated as a muse to Mother Nature. Some of the intriguing characters include Mother Nature herself, then throw in some sneaky leprechauns, vampires, physics and ghosts -- oh my. Though I did enjoy this book other readers might find there is a little too much going on that might have them feeling a bit overwhelmed. As part of the plot that centers mostly on the apartment mix-up with Rory and Amber trying to get along you will also meet young Finn who is looking for his missing fiancée (Rory's sister Shannon); Mother Nature popping in and out and later making life hard on Amber for breaking an important rule; the search for the missing treasure by the leprechauns, the truth of what happened with that and other dealings with other dragon relatives and a number of paranormals. I guess it is all necessary to do a large dose of world building as I DREAM OF DRAGONS is book 1 of the Boston Dragons series. I also found that despite the title there was very little dragon shifting, or flight of or fun with that particular aspect in this book.

All in all, I do believe that if you love dragons especially ones with a amazing accent, enjoy quirky characters, and need a sweet romance then I DREAM OF DRAGONS by Ashlyn Chase is a book you have got to read.
