MOST WANTED by Lisa Scottoline is a story with an unimaginable dilemma about a sperm donor who is a suspected serial killer. Her books are always filled with legal drama and questions of what would you do. In reading this novel you will get a lesson in how the sperm and egg donor programs work. I tried to imagine what I would do if I discovered that the child that I am carrying may be the child of a serial killer.

Christine and Marcus Nilsson have been desperately trying to have a baby and after many tests discover that they cannot conceive. They have gone to numerous specialists and finally make the decision to use a sperm donor.

Two months into her pregnancy Christine sees a news report about a young blond man who is arrested for murdering three nurses. Christine is alarmed because the suspect looks a lot like their sperm donor. Her husband Marcus originally dismisses her concerns.

Once the evidence reveals there may be some validity to her concerns, Christine becomes obsessed with finding the truth. This obsession will cause a rift between Christine and Marcus and hurtful words will be exchanged. Marcus has some issues to deal with because of learning that he is infertile. Even though Christine desperately wants to have a child she takes some unbelievable risks in order to discover the truth. During her investigation another murder is committed and her life along with her unborn child are put in jeopardy.

The conclusion had me on the edge of my seat leading up to the truth. At one point Marcus had become nonexistent. Christine was on her own seeking to find the answers about whether their sperm donor is a serial killer. When things become dangerous Christine and Marcus both learn a lesson in what is really important.

MOST WANTED will cause you to do some serious thinking about what you would do and how you would handle this situation if you were in this position. An excellent, thought-provoking read!
