I've said this many a time—I love my job as a reviewer. If I didn't do this, I feel certain many amazing authors would literally slip through my fingers. I love libraries and bookstores and can't think of a more entertaining way to spend time than perusing shelves of new books. Reviewing gives me an opportunity to go one step further. I get to sort through ready to publish books by an astounding number of talented authors—and the bonus is I get to meet some amazing new writers. Of course they are not necessarily new to the publishing world, but they are new to me. And Maisey Yates falls into the latter category. TAKE ME COWBOY is actually the second time around for me and Maisey Yates. I met her while reviewing a book she shared with another writer—one of my life long favorites. Loved it. Looked for more and found TAKE ME COWBOY.

Can't get any better than having a really hot, sexy rancher as a friend. Well for Anna Brown that's as far as she would ever consider her relationship with Chase McCormick. Anna is definitely not Chase's type. Don't you just hate that entire 'type' business?

Chase adores Anna. She is real, smart and honest. What you see is what you get and as a friend she is the best. Chase knows Anna deserves a full life with the requisite husband and children. Problem is she doesn't show very well.

Chase and Anna have a deal that is mutually beneficial to both of them. Anna needs a date for a charity event, one who will hopefully get her business the exposure she covets. Chase needs an entry into that event to hopefully entice investors. Anna has a bet with her brothers that she can get a date, and even though initially winning that bet is important, the idea of Chase as her date adds a whole new dimension to the wager.
