Military contractor Bobby "Boom Boom" Taggart met Talia Levine in war-torn Kabul when they were both on assignment. He is reunited with his Black-Ops brothers and their wives who know just what to do to get the job done.

TAKING FIRE is a great story about trust, forgiveness and unconditional love. Bobby has to decide if he can ever trust and forgive Talia after learning the extent of her betrayal. Talia has to find a way to convince Bobby to give her a chance to make things right. There are some touching moments when a new relationship is established. The Black-Ops team prove once again when a brother is in need they are there to lend a hand and have each other's back no matter what.

Cindy Gerard never disappoints with her books. You will be caught up in TAKING FIRE from start to finish. If you have not read the other One-Eyed Jacks series or any of the Black-Ops series I recommend them all. You will enjoy the banter between the guys, but you will also enjoy the brotherhood they share.
