STARK AFTER DARK is a Stark Ever After Anthology by J. Kenner about the relationship between billionaire Damien Stark and Nikki Fairchild. These four novels start at the time when Damien and Nikki are about to marry. I think in order to understand the evolution of Damien and Nikki it would be beneficial to read the three novels that introduced them, the Stark Trilogy: RELEASE ME, CLAIM ME, and COMPLETE ME. This is a couple with a complicated relationship where they have to deal with constant challenges.

TAKE ME- It's a few days before their wedding and Nikki is having a nightmare where she sees herself covered in blood. Is this possibly an omen for things to come? Well it could be because Nikki's mother shows up. When planning their wedding, Damien and Nikki had no intention of inviting are her mother and his father. The relationship with his father is nonexistent because of all the pain from the past. Nikki Fairchild suffered a great deal of pain because of her controlling mother. Damien and Nikki are each other's comfort whenever they encounter trouble. When things seem overwhelming they provide each other with their own methods of calming effects. Both have been toxic in their lives.

HAVE ME- When Nikki's mother tries to sabotage the wedding plans, Damien decides to change their plans and takes Nikki away where they can have a private ceremony for just the two of them. While on their honeymoon Nikki has another nightmare this time with something happening to Damien. Damien decides to take Nikki to experience one of his fantasies at a private club. That private moment is shattered when pictures show up on line.

PLAY MY GAME- The newlyweds are back home after their honeymoon, enjoying wedded bliss. Once again more threats to their relationship when Nikki is sent an intimate picture of Damien with someone from a past relationship with the threat it will be released to the public along with other pictures unless blackmail is paid. Damien will do whatever he has to do to keep Nikki was being hurt by these threats.

SEDUCE ME- Nikki and her friend Jamie go on a trip to Vegas where Damien and Nikki engage in an adventure of pretending to meet for the first time. During this adventure they find ways to seduce each other. While in Vegas, Nikki and Jamie see someone from their past who is being abused and come to her aid. In true Stark fashion Damien takes control.

These four stories give you a great view of the life of Damien and Nikki and leads to other stories about friends in their lives. These stories show how even the powerful billionaire Damien who has everything still has a weak spot where he feels like he cannot survive without the one person who is his life. Even though she has some insecurity that in the past has lead her to dark places, Nikki realizes Damien gives her courage and strength by his love.
