While it was not what she wanted in life, she is determined to be a good MC President; she also wants to make the Club entirely legal. Ten months before, her fiancé Wes Scott was killed by a rival club, and she wants revenge for his death; Wes was also an undercover cop with the Houston Police Department. The HPD has decided to continue their assault on outlaw biker clubs and are sending another undercover cop to investigate: Cade Jackson. Cade who was a friend of Wes', is also bent on avenging his friend's murder. Cade was instructed to get very close to the MC President, Em, which proves to be much easier than he ever thought, because she is just his type.

In a bold move, Jodi Linton stepped away from her cowboys to tackle the world of Motorcycle Clubs in her brand new series, and as a huge fan of Ms. Linton's, it went without saying I was going to read REBEL LOVE. Ms. Linton's writing is sharper, more polished and nuanced than ever, and her descriptions as vivid, although I did miss her trademark wit. The author is a wizard at crafting unique and believable characters, and especially gifted at creating the sizzling chemistry needed in a contemporary romance, and in REBEL LOVE, she surpasses herself. Em is a reluctant MC President, and being a female one is a difficult task, even though she was born to the biker life. However I felt it was a bit too easy for Cade to get so close to her, so quickly; he is an outsider, but then again, I am not that familiar with the biker way of life, as I have read only one such series previously.

The backstories are very solid, the chemistry between Cade and Em is palpable, which gave way to passionate sex scenes, and I like how the romance progressed. The suspense part is absolutely terrific: it's tightly plotted, evenly paced, and REBEL LOVE features a few dramatic plot twists that confirm Jodi Linton's talent as a romantic suspense author of note. I am definitely looking forward to the next instalment in this series.
