THE BILLIONAIRE SINGLE DAD is a scintillating story of a widower moving on and finding love again. Having the story told from two perspectives is imperative to understanding the characters. Watching Carter struggle with guilt over being sexually and emotionally invested in another woman again makes him more real and human. He's a flawed character and makes some mistakes with Tess and their burgeoning relationship. I think Tess's strength and propensity to say what's on her mind is exactly what Carter needs and also what draws his daughters to her. Tess is an interesting combination of strength and vulnerability.

One of the themes THE BILLIONAIRE SINGLE DAD explores is the close connection and support a family can provide. Throughout the book, Carter's brothers offer him advice and much needed help as he figures himself out. I love these glimpses of familiar characters and look forward to checking in with them in the next book. The connection Carter's daughters and Tess establish is charming and sweet without seeming too saccharine. THE BILLIONAIRE SINGLE DAD exemplifies a great use of children in a romance by using them to draw out the two main characters and to advance the story. That Carter and Tess always seems to throw the children's needs into the equation when making their life choices makes me like them even more.

The Christensen men in Mandy Baxter's Billionaires Club: Texas Heartthrobs series are all hot-blooded heroes worth checking out. Things take a turn and get a little complicated in THE BILLIONAIRE SINGLE DAD, but love conquers all in the end. I look forward to reading about the last Christensen brother in the next installment.
