IT'S A WONDERFUL WIFE is Book 3 in Janet Chapman's Sinclair Brothers series. I was able to read and enjoy IT'S A WONDERFUL WIFE without having read the previous two books in the series. IT'S A WONDERFUL WIFE is not a book that has a lot of explicit love scenes, but it is full of romance, charm, and sparkling dialogue. Both main characters grow over the course of the story and experience some major self-discovery.

IT'S A WONDERFUL WIFE is not quite the story I had originally thought it would be. I thought this would be a conventional "rich boy meets girl" storyline. Instead, what I got is one of the most delightful and charming romances I've ever read. Shipping magnate Jesse Sinclair and designer Cadi Glace have a very unusual and inauspicious first meeting. However, the chemistry is almost instantaneous and Jesse is smitten. There is a feeling of kismet about Jesse and Cadi's romance. I love Jesse and Cadi and like that the story is told from both perspectives. Cadi is intelligent as well as kindhearted and has a dry wit. There is a quick give and take to their repartee that is reminiscent of a 1930s screwball comedy.

The supporting characters in IT'S A WONDERFUL WIFE, like Jesse's employees, Cadi's cat Wiggles, and the local townspeople, add humor to the story and a wonderful quirkiness. Cadi's friend Stanley Kerr is something of an enigma and, as his story is slowly revealed, I find that I only want to know more about him. I hope that Janet Chapman will have Stanley pop up in a future book. The element of danger in IT'S A WONDERFUL WIFE helps to throw Jesse and Cadi together and keeps things moving at a fast pace.

I adore IT'S A WONDERFUL WIFE for it's sharp wit, charming characters, and enchanting romance. IT'S A WONDERFUL WIFE is a great romance for readers who like to laugh and enjoy a book that takes them on a journey. While reading IT'S A WONDERFUL WIFE, I never knew what would happen next and that made me enjoy the story even more. I look forward to the next book by Janet Chapman.
