FRINGE BENEFITS is the final book in the Ladies Who Lunch series by Sandy James. Like the others it can be read as a standalone and is just as entertaining. A younger teacher falls for an older teacher who also happens to be his boss. He struggles to convince her that their age difference should not be a factor and that the gossip mill should not have any effect on whether they have a relationship. They also have to deal with an ex-fiancé that wants him back and is determined to come between them. These Ladies Who Lunch are four friends who taught at the same school and through the years have become a support system for each other. It's a great series about friendship, insecurity, trust and allowing yourself to relax and let go. It's also about "real, true" friends giving you the unvarnished truth when you need it.

High school teacher Danielle Bradshaw is the last of the four who has not found her Mr. Right yet. In her newly appointed position as head of the English Department, she has been given the assignment as serving as a mentor for newly hired teacher Nate Ryan. Nate is immediately attracted to Dani and would like to pursue a relationship. There is an eight year difference in their ages and because she is technically his boss, Dani feels it's inappropriate even though she is very attracted to him.

I recommend the Ladies Who Lunch series by Sandy James because it shows what friendship really is all about. And you get to see four friends along with their husbands and kids having a great time together. They goof off but also have some serious conversations about life altering situations. And when you have best friends as sounding boards it makes decision making a lot easier. A great story about four friends and their families who are always there for each other!
